Campus Expansion Project

Chrysalis House Inc., a nonprofit provider of substance use and mental health treatment for women from across the state of Maryland, is working towards the completion of their Campus Expansion Project. This project will add 14,000 square feet to their existing facility in Crownsville, allowing them to serve up to 30 more women annually. In addition to more beds, the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Treatment Wing will include larger group meeting space, an art therapy studio and ADA-accessible counseling rooms.

They are also expanding their Child Development Center and renovating and enlarging their kitchen and dining areas. These upgrades will allow Chrysalis House to serve more women and their at-risk children, and improve the overall quality of their treatment programs.

Telehealth Services for Individuals with Substance Use Disorder
This research corner describes three articles focused on telehealth services for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD), especially opioid use disorder (OUD), during the COVID-19 pandemic. All articles recognized that individuals with SUD had experienced difficulties to access treatments, and that COVID-19 has facilitated the implementation of telehealth service expansion in SUD treatment settings, just like in other health care settings.
